What People say about us

Now that your child has finished their interceptive (early) phase of orthodontic treatment, a tooth guidance appliance has been delivered.  When teeth are moved, ligaments holding the teeth to the bone have been stretched and it takes approximately 6 months for the relaxation of these fibers to occur, so that the tooth position is more stable.  Therefore, full-time wear of the tooth guidance appliance is strongly recommended for at least 6 months, after which nighttime wear should continue until the remaining permanent teeth erupt.  Failure to wear the appliance as directed, even for a short period of time, may cause relapse.

It is important that your child follow the specific instructions given to them to maintain satisfactory results.

  • Brush your teeth, retainer or tooth guidance appliance twice a day or more if needed.
  • Wear your tooth guidance appliance as instructed by Dr.Najirad.
  • Always bring your tooth guidance appliance with you to each appointment.

It is important that you make an appointment for your child with your family dentist for a check-up and a comprehensive cleaning.  Make sure that you continue to see your family dentist on a routine basis.

Please understand that if a tooth guidance appliance is broken or lost that there is a charge to repair or replace it.
